NU-HOPE strives to enhance the lives of seniors residing in the community. This is accomplished by advocating on their behalf, raising awareness of aging issues, establishing a strong aging-services resource network, and providing quality programs and services.
Samaritan's Touch Care Center is a faith-based charitable healthcare center in Highlands County offering free primary and specialized medical care to uninsured financially struggling families who have no medical insurance of any kind and whose income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Our goal is to get the Gospel message out to every teenager in Highlands County.
Highlands County Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing, homelessness and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety.
Manna Ministries Christmas Store project, continues to share God's Blessings during the Christmas season by providing families who are financially struggling with the opportunity to select a toy(s) for their children, at no cost. It is so moving to be able to share the real meaning of Christmas with these children and families who otherwise might not have anything at Christmas.
